Booking Terms & Non-Refundable Policy
The following terms apply to every appointment scheduled with Mobile Notary Houston. By booking with us — online, by phone, or by text — you agree to the policy below.
Non-Refundable Deposits & Fees
All deposits, travel fees, and agreed-upon service fees are 100% non-refundable. When you schedule an appointment, our notary reserves that time and may travel to your location. That commitment is billed whether or not the notarization is ultimately completed. The sole exception: if you cancel or reschedule at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time, you are eligible for a 100% refund.
1. Deposit Policy
A deposit of up to 100% of the quoted amount, or whatever amount is mutually agreed upon in writing (email, text, or booking confirmation), may be required to secure your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable once the cancellation window has passed, once the notary has been dispatched, or if the appointment cannot be completed because the signer or paying party is not ready, not present, or otherwise unable to proceed.
2. 15-Minute Wait Rule
Our notary will wait a maximum of 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. If the signer(s) have not arrived, are not ready, or cannot be located within that window, and the notary has another appointment to reach, the notary may leave. No refund will be issued, and a new appointment (with a new fee) will be required to reschedule.
3. No-Show & Incomplete Appointments
If the notarization cannot be completed for any reason attributable to the paying party or signer(s), including but not limited to:
- Signer is not present at the scheduled location or time
- Signer does not have a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
- Documents are missing, incomplete, or the wrong version
- Signer is unable or unwilling to sign, or lacks capacity to sign
- Signer refuses to proceed after the notary arrives
- Address provided is incorrect or inaccessible
the full amount due for the appointment is owed and is non-refundable. Being prepared for the appointment is the responsibility of the paying party.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
If you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time, you are eligible for a 100% refund of any deposit or fee paid. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 2 hours before the scheduled start time, after the notary has been dispatched, or after the notary has arrived remain non-refundable.
5. Agreement
By booking an appointment with Mobile Notary Houston, whether online, over the phone, or by text, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms in full.
